MetLife names Srihiran Brown as Global Head of Reinsurance, Dill to succeed as Chief Auditor

Life insurer MetLife Inc. has named Toby Srihiran Brown as the Global Head of Reinsurance, effective October 1st, 2024.
He will report to John McCallion, Chief Financial Officer of MetLife, Inc., and Head of MetLife Investment Management.
Brown’s appointment will address the expanding scope of MetLife’s reinsurance activities.
In this role, he will develop and maintain a comprehensive reinsurance strategy for the company, and oversee the end-to-end reinsurance process, including deal origination, structuring, negotiation, execution, and ongoing monitoring and reporting.
Currently serving as the firm’s Chief Auditor, Brown will be succeeded by Rob Dill, MetLife’s Chief Financial Officer for the Latin America region.
Dill will have a direct and independent reporting line to the Audit Committee of MetLife’s Board of Directors and will report administratively to Michel Khalaf, MetLife’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
Khalaf commented on the appointments: “Reinsurance is an important tool for us to use opportunistically to provide capital flexibility and to enhance the competitiveness of our pricing.
“Toby has led critical functions related to risk management, control and governance across MetLife’s global business operations and will deliver insight and value in this role. Rob has excelled as CFO for Latin America and will be an outstanding leader of a critical function that helps protect and improve our company.”
Before his current role, Brown served as Chief Operating Officer of MetLife Japan since 2016. He joined MetLife in 2010 following the company’s acquisition of ALICO from AIG and became Regional CFO of MetLife Asia in 2011.
Dill, who was previously the US controller, has held several leadership roles in the controller function in his nearly 24 years with MetLife.
