Elementum appoints Andreas von Reitzenstein as SVP, Underwriting

Elementum, an alternative investment manager, has announced the appointment of Andreas von Reitzenstein as the new Senior Vice President (SVP), Underwriting at its Hamilton office.

In his new role, von Reitzenstein will be a key member of the investment team, focusing on underwriting, portfolio management, and origination for Elementum’s CRI-inclusive funds. He will also lead the firm’s Underwriting team, helping to develop its associates.

Paul Barker, Partner & Portfolio Manager and head of Elementum’s Bermuda office, expressed enthusiasm for von Reitzenstein’s appointment, stating, “I am incredibly excited to welcome Andy to our talented team here in Bermuda.

“His strong work ethic, high-performance mentality, and network of deep relationships will be a boon to our already stellar team. We are eager to leverage his underwriting expertise as well as the broad range of skills he’s honed over his 17+ years in the industry.

Von Reitzenstein joins Elementum from Aspen Insurance Group, where he was a Portfolio Manager in the Capital Markets division.

Prior to that, he served as Chief Underwriting Officer for North America at Bernina Re and spent eight years at Credit Suisse, most recently as Market Head Underwriting.
