Phil Taylor to lead Tokio Marine Kiln’s Specialty Reinsurance division

Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK), part of global insurance group Tokio Marine, has established a new Specialty Reinsurance division to support its continued focus on growth and diversification.

The new division will be led by Phil Taylor, who has been appointed as Head of Specialty Reinsurance, aligning with the firm’s growth ambitions in the sector.

He will focus on building TMK’s global specialty reinsurance portfolio and will join the company early next year.

Taylor is an industry veteran with over 25 years of experience in several underwriting and broking roles. Most recently, he spent the last four years with Everest, as Global Head of Specialty Reinsurance and formerly as Global Head of Aerospace.

Before that, he held various underwriting roles with Liberty Specialty Markets and Novae, and spent 13 years with insurance and reinsurance broker Aon as an Aviation Reinsurance broker.
