NFP hires Marsh Wortham exec to head new energy group

NFP Corp. on Wednesday said it has launched an energy group within its specialty business and hired former Marsh Wortham executive Vilma Vanegas as senior vice president to lead the new unit.

Ms. Vanegas specializes in commercial property placements for clients in the power generation and complex energy sectors. She will be based in Houston and Dallas and report to Doug Turk, managing director, specialty, for NFP, the broker’s statement said.

Most recently, Ms. Vanegas was a senior vice president at Marsh Wortham, part of Marsh LLC.
