WTW appoints Adrian Ruiz as Head of FINEX GB Cyber & TMT

Global insurance broker WTW has appointed Adrian Ruiz as Head of FINEX GB Cyber & TMT, succeeding Glyn Thoms, who will assume the newly created role of Global Cyber Strategic Development Leader.
In his new position, Ruiz will report to Marcus Porter-Wright, Head of FINEX GB, and Peter Foster, Chairman of Global FINEX Cyber. He will lead a team responsible for delivering and servicing cyber placements for WTW’s clients in Great Britain and worldwide.
Porter-Wright expressed enthusiasm for Ruiz’s appointment, stating, “I am delighted that Adrian will lead our Cyber & TMT business. Adrian has extensive experience and is extremely well positioned to lead the team into the next stage of our evolution, following on from Glyn’s successful tenure.”
He added, “This appointment also reinforces the breadth of talent we have across the global FINEX business and enables us to continue to build our FINEX value proposition to provide expertise for our clients.”
Ruiz has been with WTW for 16 years, most recently serving as Head of Wholesale – GB Cyber & TMT for the past five years.
In Thoms’ newly established role as Global Cyber Strategic Development Leader, he will report to Peter Foster, Chairman of Global FINEX Cyber at WTW.
Thoms will be responsible for shaping and managing the global FINEX Cyber strategy. He will work closely with WTW’s Global Cyber Regional leaders to drive the growth and development of the company’s Cyber Insurance and Cyber Risk Consulting (CRS) services.
Foster commented, “This newly created role demonstrates our ongoing commitment in the global cyber space to continue to support our clients and future clients in this fast-moving area of risk. Glyn’s proven leadership qualities and experience, with successfully building one of our largest regional Cyber P&L’s, position him to step right into this role and lead our strategic development.”
