Brueckner retires from SCOR, Robbins to take over as CEO of L&H, US

French reinsurer SCOR has announced that after nine years of service as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SCOR Life and Health (L&H), US and 40 years working in the industry, J.C. Brueckner has decided to retire at the end of this year.

Brock Robbins, currently SCOR’s Deputy CEO L&H US and Head of U.S. In-force, will step into the role of CEO of SCOR L&H US upon Brueckner’s departure.

The duo will be working closely over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition.

In the statement, the reinsurer added that Brueckner has been instrumental in steering the success of SCOR’s L&H business in the US, ensuring the strong and long-lasting client relationships the firm is known for.

Robbins joined SCOR in 2011 and has since been responsible for the leadership of various key business and technical areas within the L&H US business. His roles include Deputy CEO, of SCOR Global Life Americas Reinsurance Company and Deputy CEO of SCOR Global Life Americas.

Before this, he served as the Senior Vice President of Life Reinsurance at Transamerica for over seven years.
