Zurich hires construction exec from Hartford

Zurich North America on Monday said it has named former Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. executive Tobias Cushing head of construction casualty for U.S. national accounts, which serves large corporate and captive customers.

Mr. Cushing will lead the development of strategies for customers in the U.S. national accounts construction casualty portfolio and will have oversight of construction casualty field underwriting, the statement said Monday.

At The Hartford, Mr. Cushing was most recently head of construction for middle and large commercial. He is based in Schaumburg, Illinois, and reports to Head of Construction Kelly Kinzer.
