Altea Insurance expands across Europe with new office in Ireland

Altea Insurance (Altea), a provider of combined insurance and risk management services for the medical, allied health, and care sectors, has announced its expansion into the European Economic Area (EEA).

Launched last summer under the leadership of Carly Matson, Altea is supported by Mission Underwriters UK & Europe and backed by long-term capacity from Accelerant.

This expansion will be driven by a new office in Ireland, where Altea will offer tailored insurance and risk management solutions to healthcare professionals and organisations across the EEA.

AlteaPlus, the accompanying risk management platform, complements these services by offering proactive risk management, claim prevention support, and medico-legal expertise, all tailored to the specific needs of each region.

With these services, Altea aims to set a new benchmark for healthcare risk management in Ireland and throughout Europe.

By opening its office in Ireland, Altea is expanding its services across Europe, including countries like France, Italy, Malta, Poland, and Spain. This expansion involves forming strategic partnerships and local associations in both established medical malpractice markets and less traditional regions. Altea is also exploring new opportunities in the Nordic countries.
