Chedid Capital names Illingworth NonExec Director at Milestone Risk Solutions Ltd

Chedid Capital, an investment group in the insurance and reinsurance industry, has appointed James Illingworth as an Independent NonExecutive Director at Milestone Risk Solutions Ltd in the United Kingdom and a Strategic Committee Member at Momentum Insurance.

Chedid took control of Milestone Risk Solutions via its acquisition of UK-based Trilogy MGA from Resolution Underwriting Holdings Limited in 2023.

With the acquisition completed, Chedid announced that Trilogy MGA, regulated by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority, would trade under the name ‘Milestone Risk Solutions Ltd’.

Illingworth’s appointment at Milestone Risk Solutions Ltd and Momentum Insurance is set to elevate Chedid Capital’s global governance framework with his extensive experience and specialised risk expertise, the group stated.

This comes as Chedid looks to bridge its Europe, Middle East, Africa, and South Asia operations in this direction.

IsIllingworth brings over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry. He held several high-profile roles and positions – most notably, as Chief Risk Officer and Chief Underwriting Officer at MS Amlin Group, overseeing strategic initiatives that significantly scaled the company’s global expansion and growth.

With over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry, Illingworth has a distinguished career having held several prominent roles, including Chief Risk Officer and Chief Underwriting Officer at MS Amlin Group.

During his tenure, he oversaw strategic initiatives that significantly contributed to the company’s global expansion and growth, positioning it for success in a competitive market.

At MS Amlin Group, IsIllingworth also served as a director of Lloyd’s managing agent Amlin Underwriting Ltd, Swiss reinsurer Amlin AG, and corporate insurer MS Amlin Insurance SE.

Currently, he is serving as a Non-Executive Director of the Lloyd’s managing agent Hiscox Syndicates Limited.
