Brown & Brown adds Neal and Abate to its senior leadership & retail segment teams

Brown & Brown, Inc., the insurance brokerage firm, has appointed Mike Neal and Mark Abate to its senior leadership team and the retail segment senior leadership team.

Neal will serve as the Executive Vice President within Brown & Brown’s Retail segment and President of Brown & Brown Dealer Services, the firm’s auto and RV dealer training and F&I products division.

Abate leads Brown & Brown’s Southborough, Massachusetts, office and oversee certain Brown & Brown pharmacy and audit solutions operations.

Neal has over three decades of industry experience, starting his career with the firm in 2008 after his previous insurance agency, which provided commercial insurance to dealers in RV, used auto, powersports and manufactured housing, was acquired by Brown & Brown.

Abate brings over 35 years of employee benefits experience, specialising in developing health and welfare strategies to meet customers’ unique organisational and workforce priorities. He joined the organisation in 2015 when Strategic Benefit Advisors was acquired by Brown & Brown
