Marijke van Berkom to spearhead Resilience’s expansion into France and Benelux

Cyber risk solutions firm Resilience has expanded its insurance operations to France and Benelux, appointing renowned cyber insurance veteran Marijke van Berkom as Head of France & Benelux to lead its efforts to support clients and brokers across the region.

This shift builds on the company’s successful expansion into the UK, Southern Europe, Ireland and the Nordics.

From what we understand, under the company’s existing relationships with HDI Speciality Global and RSA UK & Europe, Resilience will reportedly offer up to €10 million of cyber limit available per risk on a primary or excess basis in these markets.

Leading the organisations regional expansion efforts is Marijke van Berkom, an experienced insurance professional with over 10 years of expertise in the French and Dutch markets.

In her most recent role, she spent three years working as a professional indemnity (PI) and Cyber Underwriter at Chubb, where she was based in Lyon, specialising in underwriting for the technology sector.

Before she joined Chubb, van Berkom held a number of underwriting positions at AXA XL and ACE European Group, where she predominantly focused on casualty and PI with a specific emphasis on the Benelux region.
