Starwind Specialty hires Kirby to lead newly launched Political Violence & Terrorism program

Starwind Specialty Insurance Services, has launched a new Political Violence and Terrorism (PVT) program – Starwind PVT, and has appointed Chris Kirby to lead as Program President.

Launched on October 1, the PVT program is focused on providing coverage for physical damage, business interruption and liability coverage for terrorism, strikes, riots and civil unrest, active assailants, and workplace violence. The program will also focus on broader political violence perils for non-U.S. assets as well.

It’s important to note, this new program represents a strategic expansion effort aimed at enhancing Starwind’s ability to assist retail agency clients nationwide.

Based in North Carolina, Kirby joins the organisation with more than 30 years of expertise across the insurance sector.

Recently, Starwind Specialty unveiled its new environmental unit, and appointed Mike Padula to lead. 

In his new position, Padula will oversee the creation of a comprehensive range of environmental products.
