Joshua Hackett named Head of Casualty for Munich Reinsurance America

Global reinsurer Munich Re has appointed Joshua Hackett as Head of Casualty for Munich Reinsurance America, Inc., effective March 31st, 2025.
In this role, Hackett will report to Marcus Winter, President & CEO of Munich Re – North America, and will also serve on the Executive Leadership Team for Munich Re – North America. He will be based in Princeton, NJ.
Hackett brings extensive experience in managing large reinsurance portfolios across casualty and personal lines, as well as expertise in underwriting and business analytics.
He joins from Arch Re, where he spent the past nine years, most recently as Chief Underwriting Officer for U.S. Longtail Casualty & Specialty lines.
Previously, he was Vice President, Casualty Treaty Underwriter at Swiss Re and held senior roles at Goldman Sachs, Endurance, and Zurich, among other firms.
