Munich Re’s Standard Ethics Rating upgraded to “EE+”

Standard Ethics has upgraded Munich Re’s Corporate Standard Ethics Rating (SER) to “EE+” from the previous “EE”.
Munich Re has been rated by Standard Ethics since 2016 and is part of both the SE German Index and the SE European 100 Index.
Standard Ethics highlighted that Munich Re continues to pursue its alignment with the sustainability guidelines set by the main supranational organisations.
The company has established goals and policies related to key environmental, social, and governance (ESG) themes. It uses indicators like the EU AI Act to address current topics like Artificial Intelligence.
Munich Re has also established a Code of Conduct with international sustainability references and adequate extra-financial reporting. Additionally, the company maintains stable stakeholder relationships and offers an employee financial participation program.
Standard Ethics stated that the short-term achievement of gender equality at the Supervisory Board level would be a welcome development.
