Ryan Specialty appoints former Aon exec Steve Keogh as COO

Ryan Specialty has appointed former Aon executive Steve Keogh as the Chief Operating Officer, effective May 1st, 2025.

Keogh is an industry veteran who started his career at Aon Global Risk Consulting as a Financial Analyst in 1988, subsequently spending over 28 years with the global broker.

His tenure at Aon included roles of increasing responsibility, such as President of Commercial Risk Solutions and Chief Administrative Officer of Commercial Risk Solutions. He also served as President of US Commercial Risk & Health Solutions.

Additionally, Keogh held positions as Chief Administrative Officer and VP/Head of Human Resources for the ARS Americas Region, as well as Chief Operating Officer of Aon Financial Services Group, among others. He retired from Aon in 2022 after serving as a Senior Advisor for the Office of the President.

He currently serves as the Director of Western Golf Association/Evans Scholars Foundation and Senior Advisor at Moat Metrics and Lawley. Until 2024, he was a Member Board of Trustees for the Illinois Institute of Technology.
