Allianz Trade appoints Wongi Kim to succeed Andy Ryoo as Country Head, South Korea

Insurer Allianz Trade in Asia Pacific has appointed Wongi Kim as the Country Manager for South Korea, effective April 1st, 2025, succeeding Andy Ryoo.

Ryoo, a seasoned trade credit professional retires from the role after a career spanning over 22 years with the company.

Kim joined Allianz Trade in 2015 as Business Development Manager, a role he held for nearly eight years, later promoted to Commercial Manager.

In the role, he oversaw business development and account management teams.

Before Allianz Trade, Kim spent over eight years with the Seoul Guarantee Insurance Company.

Edmond Lee, Chief Executive Officer, Allianz Trade in Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea, commented on the appointment, “Firstly I wish to congratulate Andy on reaching another career milestone and to thank him wholeheartedly for his contributions and achievements over the past two decades.
