Ken Carter appointed Chief Claims Officer for Concert Group

Concert Group, a privately owned insurance holding company, has appointed Ken Carter to the newly created position of Chief Claims Officer.

Based in Buffalo, New York, Carter joined the company on October 8, 2024 from Merchants Insurance Group.

In his new role, he will be reporting to Chief Executive Officer John Hendrickson, who commented: “I am delighted to welcome Ken to Concert’s executive team. As with every aspect of our business, we are committed to establishing robust, best-in-class capabilities.

“Ken’s extensive experience in claims management, reinsurance, strategic planning and leadership development will be invaluable as we continue to enhance these foundational building blocks of Concert.”

Carter’s insurance career spans 24 years, beginning in 2000 when he joined Merchants as Senior Corporate Casualty Claim Manager.

In 2018, he was promoted to the role of Vice President, Claim Operations, assuming greater responsibility within the organisation.

Prior to his tenure at Merchants, the executive served as a Casualty Manager at Allstate Insurance Company.

Carter will be working alongside Suzanne Fetter, VP of Claims, who has been part of Concert since 2022.

Hendrickson added: “I also want to acknowledge the excellent work undertaken by Suzanne Fetter, VP of Claims. In the two and half years since joining us, Suzanne has created a rigorous claims environment and established productive relationships with our clients. I know her experience, market relationships and insight at Concert will be of significant benefit to Ken.”
