Strategic hires to power Arbol’s growth in AI, insurance and other sectors

Global climate risk solutions platform Arbol has expanded its leadership team with strategic hires to drive growth across artificial intelligence (AI), insurance, agriculture, and energy storage.
Arnav Tripathy, who has joined Arbol as its new Head of AI, will lead the company’s automation and machine learning initiatives across its insurance offerings.
Tripathy brings a wealth of experience, having previously led AI product development at a leading Silicon Valley FinTech firm.
His background also includes serving as an assistant professor of mathematics at Harvard University and achieving a gold medal in the International Mathematical Olympiad.
Bringing two decades of experience in structuring and trading across the insurance and energy markets, Nikhil Bhandiwad is joining the company as Director of Battery & Energy Storage.
At Arbol, he will focus on expanding the company’s footprint in the energy transition space, developing data-driven solutions for battery storage and related climate risks.
Through his career, Bhandiwad has held senior roles at NextEra Energy, Swiss Re, and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Arbol has also expanded its distribution team with three new hires, including Taimur Chaudhri who has been appointed Head of US Insurance Sales.
Chaudhri will leverage his parametric and catastrophe underwriting experience to lead broker and partner engagement efforts across the US, aligning Arbol’s climate risk offerings with the evolving needs of insurers and reinsurers.
With over 20 years of experience in insurance and agri-business, Ryan Chartier is joining Arbol as Director of US Agriculture Sales.
Chartier, who previously held leadership roles at CHS and Zurich North America, and led the national agriculture vertical at USI Insurance Services, will now oversee broker relationships and regional strategy at Elanco.
In his new role, he will assist farmers, cooperatives, and processors in managing climate-driven yield volatility.
Finally, Arbol has appointed Walker Brandt as a Business Development Representative, supporting the go-to-market strategy for the company’s parametric insurance products in US agriculture.
He has a background in behavioural economics and environmental research from Wesleyan University, and brings experience in leading partnerships and sales at early-stage climate and AI ventures.
