Gallagher Re appoints Thomas Dubecq as Head of International Regional Retro

Reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has announced the appointment of Thomas Dubecq as Head of International Regional Retro.

Dubecq joins Gallagher Re from Guy Carpenter, where he spent the past five years, most recently serving as Chairman, Africa, overseeing the development of the company’s footprint in Africa alongside colleagues from MMC Group.

Before that, he was Head of International, Non-Marine Treaty, LIM at JLT Re, where he coordinated with the JLT Re International network and managed the production of Treaty Reinsurance and Retrocession business across EMEA, LATAM, and Asia.

Earlier in his career, Dubecq held senior roles at Aon as Director, EMEA, and at Willis Re as Executive Director.

In a recent LinkedIn post, Gallagher Re stated, “With over 25 years in the reinsurance industry and a distinguished track record in retrocession, Thomas’s experience and relationships within the industry will be invaluable as we continue to grow our Regional Retro footprint internationally.”
