Marsh names Lang Digital Leader, Marsh Specialty and Global Placement

Marsh, insurance broker and risk advisor and a business of Marsh McLennan, has announced the appointment of Christopher Lang as Digital Leader, Marsh Specialty and Global Placement, a newly created role, effective November 1.

Based in New York and reporting to Pat Donnelly, President, Marsh Specialty and Global Placement, Lang will lead Marsh’s digital strategy for global insurance placement, aiming to enhance the client experience and streamline operational efficiency.

This initiative aims to empower Marsh brokers and underwriters to connect, share data, and trade risk on a customised platform designed specifically for this purpose.

Lang has spent the last 30 years of his career at Marsh in various placement leadership roles, most recently serving as Global Placement Leader US and Canada.#

Marsh veterans Daniel Aronson, US Casualty Practice Leader, and Michael Rouse, US Property Practice Leader, will be succeeding Lang on November 1 as Co-Global Placement Leaders for the region, Messrs.

Aronson and Rouse will drive all elements of Marsh’s global placement strategy in the US and Canada, working with key global and regional stakeholders to develop innovative solutions and challenge the market to meet the evolving needs of clients.

Based in New York, they will retain their leadership positions in casualty and property while reporting to John Donnelly, Global Head of Placement.
