Aon recruits Willis executive Peiser

Aon PLC announced Wednesday that former Willis Towers Watson PLC broking chief Joe Peiser will join the brokerage as commercial risk leader for North America.
The announcement comes about two weeks after Aon terminated its agreement to buy Willis in the face of regulatory opposition.
In the newly created position, Mr. Peiser will report to Lambros Lambrou, CEO of commercial risk solutions, and Jennifer Bell, CEO North America.
New York-based Mr. Peiser joined Willis in 2014 and was named global head of broking of its corporate risk and broking segment in 2019.
A Willis spokesman said Jon Drummond will become broking leader for corporate risk and broking, North America. Mr. Drummond has been head of casualty broking at Willis since 2018.
Mr. Peiser’s move is the latest in a string of departures from Willis since Aon agreed to buy its rival in March 2020. Last week, rival Marsh LLC hired two top health care broking executives from Willis.
