Willis Towers Watson PLC has promoted Kate Mead to head of its Canadian property/casualty broking team.
Ms. Mead, who will be based in Toronto, replaces Stephanie Wong, who is leaving the company at the end of August.
Ms. Mead was previously Willis’ practice leader for the Midwest, Northeast U.S. and Canadian environmental business.
As head of the Canadian broking team Ms. Mead will strengthen client and insurer relationships in Canada and provide strategic guidance to support business development, Willis said in a statement Thursday. She will report to Jonathon Drummond, North America head of broking.
Meanwhile, Willis is actively recruiting for a Canadian leader for its corporate risk and broking segment, the role previously held by John Haas, who left Willis for NFP Corp. in March.
