Lexington names Debra Goldberg head of health care

Lexington Insurance Co. has promoted Debra Goldberg to head of the excess and surplus lines insurer’s health care business.

She will report to Susan Chmieleski, head of Lexington professional lines, who was head of Lexington’s health care business before her promotion in June, according to a company memo.

Ms. Goldberg will “be responsible for all aspects of leading Lexington Healthcare with a focus on hospital, miscellaneous facilities, professional liability, general liability, auto and workers compensation coverages,” according to the memo.

Previously, Chicago-based Ms. Goldberg led the American International Group Inc. unit’s miscellaneous medical facilities business.
