Amwins acquires truck wholesaler

Amwins Group Inc. said Monday it has acquired National Truck Underwriting Managers Inc., a truck wholesaler that offers access to primary liability, physical damage and motor truck package policies.
A total of 31 NTUM’s employees will join Amwins’ underwriting division, complementing the services of Amwins Transportation Underwriters.
It will also work in conjunction with trucking industry specialties within the firm’s brokerage division, Charlotte, North Carolina-based Amwins said in its statement.
The statement said Bloomington, Minneapolis-based NTUM, a third-generation family business, provides coverage in 46 states.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, a spokeswoman said.
