BMS recruits former Toa Re executive

BMS Re, a unit of BMS Group, announced Monday that former Toa Reinsurance Co. Ltd. executive Jerry Farrell has joined the reinsurance brokerage as an executive vice president.

New York-based Mr. Farrell will be part of BMS Re’s origination team and report to Pete Chandler, president and CEO of the brokerage, and Mark Wells, head of sales, a BMS statement said.

Mr. Farrell was chief underwriting officer at Toa Re and has expertise in professional and management liability, the statement said.
