Sedgwick buys Montana-based claims adjuster

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc. said Tuesday it has acquired Columbia Falls, Montana-based Candau Inc., a property/casualty claims adjusting company serving the Mountain West region.

Candau handles residential and commercial property adjusting, heavy truck and trailer and specialty appraisals, and standard auto claims management, Sedgwick said in a statement.

Six Candau employees are joining Sedgwick, a spokeswoman for the Memphis, Tennessee-based third-party administrator said via email.
