AssuredPartners buys Iowa broker

AssuredPartners Inc. said Tuesday it has acquired Des Moines, Iowa-based Jester Insurance Services Inc.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Jester’s staff of 15 will remain under the leadership of risk management consultants Janelle Friedman and Nolan Grimm.

AssuredPartners President Randy Larsen said in a statement the deal will strengthen the broker’s Great Plains operations as it continues to expand its services in the region.

Lake Mary, Florida-based AssuredPartners is the 11th largest broker of U.S. business, according to the most recent Business Insurance rankings.
