NFP buys UK specialty broker

NFP Corp. said Wednesday it has acquired KGJ Insurance Services Group Ltd., a specialty broker based in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed

The acquisition expands NFP’s market presence in the Midlands area, the New York-based brokerage said in a statement.

Some 55 KGJ staff and the leadership team of Richard Cox, managing director; Darren Hollinshead, executive director; and Lyndon Hollinshead, group director, will join NFP.

KGJ specializes in combined risks for complex and non-standard programs, with expertise in marine insurance, and provides access to restricted markets through various wholesale brokerages, NFP said.
