AXA XL Re appoints Alfredo Salcedo as Head of Latin America, Reinsurance

AXA XL Reinsurance, the property and casualty and specialty risk unit of global insurer AXA, has appointed Alfredo Salcedo as the Head of Latin America, Reinsurance, effective June 1st, 2024.
Subsequently, AXA XL has announced that Michael Yeats will be taking on a new opportunity at AXA XL to lead the Automatic Reinsurance Facilities Division in the US.
Salcedo will be responsible for AXA XL’s Latin American reinsurance business along with overseeing the operation in the region. Additionally, he will work with the firm’s valued clients and underwriting team. Salcedo brings considerable experience to the role.
Prior to this, Salcedo worked as a Senior Underwriter and Regional Casualty Leader in AXA XL’s Latin American hub for the past three years. He has in the past held underwriting roles with a regional scope in the reinsurance sector.
