Aon names Marsh McLennan’s Ryan Barber as Global Head of Property, Commercial Risk

Global re/insurance broker Aon has appointed Ryan Barber as the Global Head of Property for Commercial Risk, effective June 24th, 2024, to further advance the firm’s Risk Capital strategy.

In this new role, Barber’s remit will include leading Aon’s global property practice, he will report to Cynthia Beveridge, Global Chief Broking Officer for Commercial Risk.

Joe Peiser, Chief Executive Officer, Commercial Risk, commented on the appointment, “We are thrilled that Ryan is joining Aon to both advance our Risk Capital strategy across Commercial Risk and Reinsurance and further amplify the core value proposition that we deliver to clients as they look to address their property risks.

Barber is a 20-year veteran of insurance and reinsurance broker Marsh McLennan, where he mostly recently served as the U.S. Property Practice Sales Leader.

Barber has previously served as co-leader of the U.S. Property Practice for Integro Insurance Brokers, and as a senior property broker and business development specialist for WTW.
