Accelerant names chief technology officer

Accelerant Ltd., a Bermuda-based insurer that operates through partnerships with managing general agents, said Tuesday it has named Peter Horst chief technology officer, a new position.

Mr. Horst served most recently as vice president of engineering for business analytics platform Qlik International AB, whose North America headquarters is in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.

Accelerant, which was established in 2018 to offer coverage to small and medium-sized businesses, introduced a $175 million sidecar vehicle, Flywheel Re, to add capital market capacity in August.
