Acrisure acquires Portuguese broker

Acrisure LLC on Wednesday said it has signed an agreement to acquire broker Universalis Corretora de Seguros of Portugal.

Terms of the transaction, under review by the Portuguese Regulator ASF, were not disclosed.

Universalis was founded in 1971 and has more than €25m ($27.1 million) in annual premium, according to an Acrisure statement.

The deal is Acrisure’s first in Portugal, the statement said.
