Acrisure acquires SUNZ Insurance units

Acrisure LLC said Tuesday it has acquired the managing general agency and third-party administrator operations of Bradenton, Florida-based SUNZ Insurance Co. 

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Acrisure, a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based fintech company that provides workers compensation insurance, said in a statement the acquisition will accelerate its ability to underwrite, package and distribute related risk premium through its global network of partners.

A spokeswoman for Acrisure said the SUNZ units have 375 employees.
