Acrisure forms cyber risk management unit

Acrisure LLC said Thursday it has formed a cyber risk management unit, Acrisure Cyber Services.

The Grand Rapids, Michigan-based fintech said the unit offers risk assessments, insurance, security and antivirus services and recovery services.

The unit’s president is Bill Meara, who was previously an operating partner with private equity fund Abry Partners LLC, based in Boston.

Joining Mr. Meara is Adam Abresch, executive vice president of cyber solutions, who leads Acrisure’s cyber insurance practice; Michael Amaral, chief revenue officer; and Director of Operations Queena Kim, the company said in its statement.

Acrisure Re, Acrisure’s reinsurance division, named former Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC executive Ming Li as managing director and global head of catastrophe modeling, effective Tuesday.
