Acrisure forms New England region

Acrisure LLC launched its New England region Monday, as it continued to roll out its restructuring program.

The region encompasses the broker’s businesses in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont and will be led by Paul Plunkett as managing director. Previously, he was CEO and president of Hickok and Boardman Insurance Group, which Acrisure acquired in 2019.

Acrisure’s New England presence includes 27 offices, with nearly 400 employees.

The acquisitive Grand Rapids, Michigan-based brokerage last year announced a reorganization and change in branding strategy that will apply the Acrisure name to its units.

Acrisure is the world’s sixth-largest brokerage, according to Business Insurance’s most recent ranking.
