Active Re board promotes Robert Ali to COO

Active Re, a provider of reinsurance solutions for financial institutions, has announced the promotion of Robert Ali to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO).
In his new capacity, Ali will maintain his role as a key advocate and leader in establishing strategic partnerships with MGAs across diverse regions and lines of business. He will report directly to Ramon Martinez Carrera, Active Re’s Chief Executive Officer.
Ali brings a wealth of expertise to his new position, boasting over 15 years of industry experience. He initially joined Active Re in 2019 as Deputy COO.
Prior to that, Ali spent over five years at Trust Re, where he progressed from Deputy Underwriter to Underwriter.
He has also worked at The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited and COLFIRE.
Active Re’s CEO expresses his enthusiasm for Ali’s promotion, stating, “We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Robert for his invaluable contributions during his tenure with the company. We have complete confidence in his ability to excel in his new role.”
