American International Group announced Monday that it has hired Scott Hallworth, formerly with HP, as chief digital officer, effective Sept. 1.
Mr. Hallworth will be based in New York and will initially report to Claude Wade, executive vice president, chief digital officer and global head of business operations and claims, and then to Chairman and CEO Peter Zaffino starting Jan. 1.
Mr. Wade will step down for health reasons at the end of the year and will transition to an advisory role.
Mr. Hallworth will become a member of AIG’s executive leadership team and will lead the company’s digital, data and GenAI strategy.
Mr. Hallworth previously was chief data and analytics officer and head of digital solutions at HP, formerly Hewlett Packard. Before that, he was chief digital officer at Fannie Mae and Capital One and prior to that held chief actuarial roles at various insurers, including Travelers and Hanover Insurance Group.
