Alliant acquires Texas-based oil and gas specialist

Alliant Insurance Services Inc. said Monday it has acquired Odessa, Texas-based McAnally Wilkins LLC, which specializes in coverages of the oil and gas service industry.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

McAnally Wilkins provides insurance, risk management and employee benefits programs for businesses focused on oilfield service and oil transportation, Alliant said in a statement.

McAnally Wilkins has 90 employees, all of whom will join Alliant, according to an email from a spokeswoman. It will continue to serve clients from its Texas and Oklahoma office locations.

Tom Corbett, chairman and CEO of Alliant, said in the statement that the deal would bolster its Energy and Marine practice.
