Allianz Commercial names new CFO

Allianz Commercial announced Monday that Hyeji Kang will succeed Oskar Buchauer as chief financial officer of Allianz Commercial and Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE, effective Oct. 1.

Ms. Kang will report directly to Thomas Lillelund, CEO of Allianz Commercial.

Mr. Buchauer has decided to step down from the board of management after 27 years at Allianz.

Ms. Kang is currently CFO at Allianz Re and previously was global head of global performance steering for AGCS and Allianz Commercial. She joined AGCS in 2015 as chief actuary for the Americas region. Before that she was a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers and held various actuarial roles at CNA Financial Corp. and Willis Towers Watson PLC.
