Allianz names global head of natural resources

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE on Wednesday named Anthony Vassallo global head of natural resources, a newly created role.

He will report to Gordon Browne, global head of specialty.

Mr. Vassallo, who joined AGCS in 2003, is currently global energy product leader and regional head of energy and construction in London. He will continue in these roles in the interim until a successor is confirmed.

Mr. Vassallo will lead development of AGCS’ natural resources business, as the insurer looks to drive the climate transition across all segments of the energy industry and expand its expertise in the renewable energy and green technology segment.
