Allied World Assurance adds accident and health division

Allied World Assurance Co. Holdings Ltd. said Wednesday it has launched a North American accident and health division and hired former Chubb Ltd. executive James Walloga to head up the business.

As senior vice president of the division, Mr. Walloga will be responsible for strategy, management and underwriting, the Pembroke, Bermuda-based insurer said in a statement.

Mr. Walloga has 25 years of experience in accident and health and was most recently executive vice president, accident and health, North America, at Chubb.
