American Global names Christine Philips to lead California

American Global LLC said Tuesday that it has opened an office in Los Angeles and named Christine Philips president of its California operations.

Most recently, Ms. Philips was a vice president and client executive in Brown & Brown Inc.’s national casualty practice. Previously, she worked in risk management at Bernards Brothers Inc., a construction company.

With the addition of the Los Angeles office, American Global, a construction and surety insurance brokerage founded in 2014, has 12 U.S. offices, the brokerage said in a statement.

“Christine will build and lead a team of insurance and surety professionals,” the statement said.
