AmRisc names CEO of wholesale brand

AmRisc LLC said Thursday that Molly Nickoles has been named CEO of Waypoint Wholesale, the company’s wholesale brand.

Ms. Nickoles was most recently chief underwriting officer for AmRisc’s builders risk product. She is based in Birmingham, Alabama, and reports to Laura Beckmann, president and chief operating officer, according to an email from a spokesman.

Ms. Nickoles started her career as a senior underwriter with AmRisc Group in 2003, the statement said.

Ms. Beckmann said in the statement Ms. Nickoles had been “instrumental” in growing the builders risk product.

Also Thursday, AmRisc said that Billy Hammond will succeed Ms. Nickoles as chief underwriting officer of the builders risk product.

Marcus Kelley will be division president of the now-combined Waypoint Technical Risks and National Specialty. As well, in preparation for the upcoming retirement of Scott Hornsby, Thomas Bonnarigo will become AmRisc’s chief underwriting officer of national accounts in 2022.

Houston-based AmRisc is part of Truist Insurance Holdings Inc., the sixth-largest broker of U.S. business, according to the latest Business Insurance rankings.
