Amwins hires parametric specialist

Amwins Group Inc. Tuesday named parametric insurance specialist Brenden Beeg vice president for alternative risk.

Mr. Beeg will report to Alex Kaplan, executive vice president for alternative risk.

Denver-based Mr. Beeg most recently was senior vice president of brokering at Plover Parametrics, a New York-based insurtech specializing in parametric coverage. Prior to that, he managed business development for Descartes Underwriting SAS, a France-based parametric managing general agency.

Amwins said that as part of the transition, it has acquired Plover’s book of parametric risks and will continue to service Plover’s clients.

Mr. Beeg was a 2023 Business Insurance Break Out award winner.
