Amwins launches excess casualty program for public entities

Amwins Specialty Casualty Solutions, a managing general agency unit of Amwins Group Inc., on Monday launched an excess casualty program for public entities.

The program offers up to $3 million in liability limits and $2 million in workers compensation limits.

The liability coverage is offered as a follow-form excess insurance coverage or reinsurance. The workers comp coverage is provided only as reinsurance, Amwins said in a statement.

The program is aimed at municipalities, public schools, community colleges, special service districts and public housing authorities. It is designed for pools and individual risks with a minimum self-insured retention of $100,000 and a minimum premium of $200,000 per account, the statement said.
