Amwins names chief underwriting officer

Amwins Group Inc. said Monday it had named Mark Bernacki to the newly created position of chief underwriting officer, effective immediately.

Mr. Bernacki will be responsible for overseeing the underwriting performance, building capacity and growing Amwins’ alternative risk capabilities with a focus on Bermuda and London.

Mr. Bernacki was most recently president of Amwins Special Risk Underwriters LLC, a role he will retain. He also runs the Amwins Alternative Risk Transfer Team and is an executive vice president of Amwins Group Inc.
