Aon appoints Chris Simmons as Head of Health UK

Global insurance and reinsurance broking group Aon has announced the appointment of Chris Simmons as Head of Health UK.
In a recent LinkedIn post, Aon stated, “Chris has spent almost three decades in the health industry, with his most recent role as Chief Broking Officer in our UK Health team. Chris has played an integral role in building strategic partnerships with markets and implementing market-leading centres of excellence.
“We are looking forward to seeing continued success from Chris and his team.”
Simmons has been with Aon for 22 years in various senior roles, including his most recent position as Chief Broking Officer for UK Health over the past three years.
Before joining Aon, he worked as a Risk and Healthcare Consultant at WTW and as a Consultant at Mercer.
In related news, Aon recently appointed Mona Barnes as Global Chief Claims Officer, reporting to Joe Peiser, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Commercial Risk.
She joined the broker in 2023 to oversee the teams of claims professionals in the Global Broking Centre and UK Claims functions.
