Aon expands Bermuda reinsurance platform to drive client growth opportunities

Global insurance and reinsurance broking group Aon has expanded its Bermuda reinsurance platform to enhance transactional and capital optimisation solutions and support profitable growth opportunities for clients.

Aon has added five new members to its Bermuda reinsurance team: Jemma Henry and Lawrence Cheng, who will both serve as Managing Directors, along with Libby Sargent, George Burles, and Sonal Ohrie, who have been appointed as Vice Presidents.

This expanded team will strengthen Aon’s presence in Bermuda across its Global Specialty lines, with a particular focus on property specialty retrocession. Additionally, it will accelerate the development of the firm’s local facultative and captive reinsurance platforms, which are aligned with teams in London and the U.S.

The expanded Bermuda team will report to James Ramamurthy, Head of Global ReSpecialty Bermuda, who in turn reports to Roman Romeo, CEO of Reinsurance Solutions Bermuda at Aon.
