Aon launches analytics platform for catastrophe response

Aon announced Monday it upgraded its event analytics platform to provide integrated hazard, exposure, and loss data via a single interface.

The platform is designed to support insurer catastrophe response before, during and after an event. It includes real-time loss estimates from Aon’s Impact Forecasting unit, advanced mapping tools to visualize event footprints and customized reports tailored to client needs.

It also allows insurers to recast historical natural catastrophes such as Hurricanes Milton, Ian and Helene to assess how they would affect current portfolios.

“Insurers are under pressure to make decisions with speed and precision, but fragmented data sources often slow down decision-making. Aon’s event analytics platform is designed to support re/insurers through all phases of global catastrophes,” said Dan Hartung, global head of event response, in a statement.
