Aon moves COO to digital head; recruits replacement from Conagra

Aon PLC said Tuesday that James Platt, formerly chief operating officer of the brokerage, has moved to the newly created role of chief digital officer and that it has recruited Mindy Simon from Conagra Brands Inc. as its next COO.

London-based Mr. Platt, who was named COO in January 2021, will be responsible for Aon’s digital services for small-business and personal lines customers, Aon said in a statement.

He will report to Eric Andersen, Aon’s president.

Omaha, Nebraska-based Ms. Simon will join Aon in October.  She most recently served as chief information officer of Conagra. She joined the food company in 2000 and held various operational roles.

She will report to Christa Davies, Aon’s chief financial officer.
